1 Corinthians 6:19-20, What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Your time, talents, and treasures are not your own.
All that you have is because of Jesus.
To hide your gifts, to waste your time, or to live for yourself, is not how God intended you to steward what you have.
It doesn't matter if you are the most talented singer. It doesn't matter if you are the poorest of them all.
We all have something to give back to the One who gave us all we have.
The poorest shepherds gave their praise. The wise men gave their precious gifts to worship their King. The talented David gave God his song. At the end of his life, Samson gave God his strength.
But really...everything they gave was really God's to begin with.
When the life is over, and we cast any crowns we earn at Jesus' feet...will he say "well done, thou good and faithful servant?"
Or will we have nothing to show for the years we have wasted?
Give God your all...your everything...your life. You'll never regret it.
